There were lots of picnic tables with umbrellas for us to dine at. A few of us chose for the Whistle Hamburger which turned out to be a beef patty covered in chili wrapped in a bun.
The beef patty offered some texture in the sandwich; otherwise it was boring. I could not recognize the cheese or bacon flavours. The chopped white onion included some depth to the hamburger foundation. The bun was extremely dry and flaky. Expense commented "More chili on burger than hamburger." Mike wrote "This burger was everything about chili.
The sauce added taste without too much grease, the bacon was crisp and fresh, however the cheese, lettuce and other garnishes were nearly invisible." Karen examined the Fatboy "It had a soft Kaiser roll with tons of saucy lettuce and big tomato. The hamburger is chewy-thin and actually dark coloured.
A filling hamburger for someone with a modest hunger." A couple of burgerettes had the bacon burger. "The patty appeared like a frozen hamburger patty and kind of tasted like one also but the bacon was great and crispy" said Mireille. Dani composed "Patty appears like it was preformed and frozen.
Viewpoints varied on the fries and I presume they tasted finest when they were hot. A wonderful feature of the WPD is that it shares the parking lot with a DQ and as everyone understands, hamburgers should always be followed up with ice-cream.
All's well, that ends well!.
